In November 2025, Dance to You! was thrilled to return to the Jewish Home at Rockleigh for our fifth performance! The Jewish Home is like a second home for us, and it is always special to spend time with familiar faces there while also welcoming new residents and creating meaningful experiences together.

Our dancers were so excited to perform brand new dances that we have been preparing, including ballet and jazz solos, as well as a fiery contemporary duet and upbeat jazz finale.

Our founder, Caitlin, was delighted to also share Korean Traditional Dance with the residents, many of whom had never seen this style of dance before. Caitlin gave a presentation about the history, types, and significance of Korean Traditional Dance and showed various props and accessories she uses or wears, including fans, swords, and headpieces, which fascinated the residents! She then performed “Sogo Chum,” a small-drum dance wearing a “Hanbok,” the traditional clothing of Korea.

One of our dancers, Kiara, also gave a short “What’s in My Dance Bag?” presentation, providing a behind-the-scenes look at the essential items that she uses for classes, rehearsals, and performances, while speaking about her life as a dancer.

After our performance, our dancers were touched by various comments from some of our biggest fans at the Jewish Home who frequently attend our performances including Ms. Dorothy who shared, “I wanted to congratulate you dancers. It transported me to another ethereal world of dancers in heaven. Thank you!” and Ms. Bobby who exclaimed, “We love it all, [and] as always to have you girls here! We just love it and we love you!”

We are incredibly grateful to be part of the Jewish Home community and to have the opportunity to return so often to share our passion and such special moments together with the residents!
